Sunrising
SLEEPS 12
SALCOMBE
Originally built as a primary school in 1850, Sunrising has been thoughtfully reimagined as an exceptional coastal retreat, where historic character meets understated modern luxury. Following a meticulous rebuild, the house offers calm, beautifully considered interiors, natural materials and a relaxed sense of space designed for effortless living.
Set in an elevated position overlooking the Salcombe estuary, Sunrising enjoys uninterrupted estuary views from almost every window — particularly special at sunrise, when the light spills gently across the water. Despite its peaceful setting, the house is just a five-minute stroll from the heart of Salcombe, with independent shops, excellent restaurants, ferry links and coastal walks all close at hand.
Arranged over three generous floors, Sunrising sleeps up to twelve across six spacious bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. A large open-plan living area sits at the heart of the house, complemented by additional reception rooms that allow space to come together or spread out with ease.
Outside, two substantial, sheltered terraces make the most of the setting, with generous dining and lounging areas, an outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ, and a (optional) hot tub overlooking the estuary — perfect for relaxed days and long summer evenings.
In a town where parking is at a premium, Sunrising also offers off-street parking for four cars, garage parking for two, and EV charging.
Sunrising is a timeless Salcombe retreat, bringing together heritage, contemporary design and a truly special estuary setting — a place to slow down and enjoy the very best of coastal living.
